welcome

Well, here I am, a year after having my precious Lily, and I am still 25 pounds overweight. I have blamed it on my 30's, carrying 4 babies, and even wondered if I have a thyroid problem, but I have realized that ultimately I am responsible. I have control over what I do and don't do, and what I eat and don't eat. I decided to start this blog as an experiment as I begin yoga training and learning ways to adjust my diet to what's best for my body. The Bible says that our body is a temple, and what good am I if I feel tired and sluggish all the time? That's not a good way to feel when you have 4 kids, let me tell you! So, this blog may be of no interest to anyone but myself, then so be it. But maybe, as I post my discoveries, accomplishments, and experiences, it might be fun to read. So, enjoy!

  1. I'm with you! I've been down this path since my fourth was born too, gone to the book store to sit and read everything on how to eat in the 30's, what's happening to my metabolism, etc. Finally found a good idea of what i need to be getting, and did some fasting here and there to break the mental bondage to food. You are really on track with figuring out what your individual body needs. It is a temple and the Lord will show you exactly what it will take for you specifically to be healthy. Blessings on you in the journey! I love yoga too, by the way. That's what I've settled into and what seems to work best for me as a baseline, then I try to throw in some other varieties. I look forward to hearing about what you are learning!
